The owners are passionate, sweet, and genuine in the care of the cats/kittens here. They ensure that the cats will never end up back in the streets. There are a LOT of cats/kittens here, I'm confident you'll find the one for you. I liked how they knew all of the cat's personalities and tendencies because it helped narrow our choices. I appreciate how they let us stay a bit past the hour we paid to allow us time to connect with our potential cat.

I'm grateful for Cat Nap Hangout, because this is where I got to adopt my fur-baby Willow. I was stressed with life and work but after becoming a cat parent, I feel that those issues don't bother me as much  now. I'm not saying a cat will solve your problems but for me it did. I'm much happier knowing she's part of my family.

If I do decide to get a second cat, I'll be coming back here. Please come and support if you're thinking of adopting a cat, they have so many cats/kittens available that need a home.

All shelters/rescues should be like this. My husband and I were first time cat owners, and the volunteers were so friendly and helpful! It really helped that all the cats looked happy and healthy too, because we could take the time to see which cats would choose us. It was also guilt free, because even the ones you don't adopt are sure to be okay with people coming, going, and adopting every day.

The process went as follows: we made an appointment online and filled out the online application. We arrived at the scheduled time, but the appointment was not necessary, so if you want to walk in, they will be happy to accommodate. We paid $20 each for both of us, then we got to spend time with the cats.

I think my husband and I spent 3+ hours there, even though our appointment was only supposed to be an hour. Everyone was super nice about us staying longer, and no one ever pressured us to leave. We ended up finding a kitten that stole our hearts...and realized we wanted one more! Everyone was more than happy to show us other cats that we would like (we specified low energy, loving, playful). Based on Jane's recommendations (she knows all 60+ of her cats' personalities and backstories), another cat stole our hearts again.

We couldn't adopt both of them right away, so when we expressed interest in both cats, we were given the option to pre-adopt, which meant paying $150/cat upfront (they do give 50% discounts if you adopt 2!). The plan was to pick them up a few days later, but we asked them for an additional week to prepare our house. They had no problem with this and held both cats until we were ready.

Before you can pre adopt, you must pass their application process. Since we filled in an application beforehand, we were able to interview with the adoption coordinator over the phone and get approved that same day. The application process is not scary as long as you are committed to being a good owner and do your research about owning a cat or two!

Aside from saving lives, rescuing or adopting from shelters is a great value. The cats are generally well-socialized, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, and litter box trained. All this for $150/cat is amazing! They even give you papers of certification from the vet. The trade off is that most of the cats are domestic shorthairs or longhairs, but we absolutely love our new family members.

We finished the process by taking the cats home in a carrier. They were scared initially, but within a few hours, they confidently owned the room we gave them and now want to explore the rest of the house. That confidence is so unique to rescued cats, who know you saved them and trust you even at their most vulnerable.

Support this rescue! They work so hard to take care of their cats and I wouldn't trade our cats for anything.

Wilmington, Los Angeles, CAThe Catnap Hangout was amazingly fun! I love cats sooooo much but sadly am allergic, it was so exciting to see and get to hangout with all of the cats! The workers have such a big heart taking in the cats and trying to find them homes! It's a way that you can interact and 'hangout' with them for awhile before you fall in love with kitties personality and want take one home!!! If i wasn't so allergic, i'd adopt them all! I would totally come back to hangout with the cats again! This is also a nonprofit organization

Cat Nap was so helpful to me with my first pet adoption. I was nervous about doing everything properly and being prepared and they were very helpful every step of the way. I loved being able to visit all the cats at their adoption center and had a lot of fun spending time with them. The cat I chose, a 1-2 year old male cat named Roman, was the perfect cat for me and we are both very happy together. Thank you Cat Nap!

Do you love cats? If you answers 'yes' this is the place to be! They have over 50 cats waiting to snuggle and play with you. They have cats of all ages, colors, and temperaments. If you are looking to adopt a cat this place is the purrfect spot to get to know a potential new family member. We come here often to snuggle with the cats and I always feel good about the entrance fee going towards the care of these cats. It's $20 for adults, $10 for kids and seniors. We've been here about 5 times and will definitely be back  ^..^
